In addition, WMH Herion produces **custom-made solutions** to drawing and provides advice on system selection and on integration into existing drive concepts. ## FAQ on rack technology ### Rack technology⁠: your questions, our answers Rack technology is a multi-layered subject: from the right gear quality and the choice of material to the appropriate system solution consisting of rack and gear unit. Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our range. For your specific drive task, we are happy to assist you personally. Ground racks achieve higher gear qualities (e.g. DIN class 5) and are suitable for precision applications in which positioning accuracy and low noise are decisive. Milled versions are more cost-effective and suitable for less demanding applications. We supply racks in modules 1 to 10, in standard lengths up to 2,000 mm and as cut-to-length pieces. Many items are available from stock, and special lengths and special materials are produced on request. Yes. WMH Herion offers coordinated system solutions consisting of rack and servo worm gear unit. The gear units have an integrated pinion output and are designed for direct installation in rack axes. Standard materials are steels such as C45 or 42CrMo4 in quenched and tempered or induction hardened versions. On request, we also manufacture in stainless steel or plastic (PA, POM), for corrosion-resistant or noise-damped applications. Yes. WMH Herion manufactures racks to customer drawings: in special lengths, special materials and with individual hole patterns.
